New Delhi: There is something quietly revealing about how Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma build their life together, choosing privacy and permanence over spectacle. Without loud announcements, the celebrity couple has steadily invested in homes that reflect space, calm, and long-term value. Their latest move adds to that pattern, with the purchase of over five acres of land in Alibaug, a coastal town that has shifted from weekend escapes to a preferred second-home address for Mumbai’s wealthy residents seeking quieter coastal living.
The newly acquired land lies in Zirad village near Awas Beach in Raigad district and spans more than 5.19 acres across two adjoining plots. Property records accessed through CRE Matrix show the transaction value at Rs 37.86 crore, registered earlier this week with stamp duty payments of about Rs 2.27 crore, marking their second Alibaug land purchase since 2022 there.

The latest acquisition includes two adjoining plots measuring approximately 3.6 acres and 1.55 acres. Located close to Awas Beach, the land offers privacy and development potential. The purchase follows an earlier eight-acre land investment in the same coastal belt, where the couple had planned a farmhouse, highlighting Alibaug’s importance in their long-term plans.
Worli apartment with Arabian Sea viewsIn Mumbai, Kohli and Sharma reside in a four-bedroom apartment at Omkar 1973 in Worli. Spread across nearly 8,000 square feet on the 35th floor, the home includes private decks for each bedroom, four parking spaces and uninterrupted sea views. Reports suggest the apartment was purchased for around Rs 34 crore.
Alibaug holiday bungalowThe couple also owns a four-bedroom holiday home in Alibaug, designed in a Californian Konkan style. Built on a 10,000-square-foot plot within the Awas Living gated community, the bungalow offers access to wellness and spa facilities. The property is valued at approximately Rs 13 crore.
Rs 80 crore bungalow in GurugramIn DLF Phase 1, Gurugram, the couple owns a sprawling bungalow covering around 10,000 square feet. The residence features a private swimming pool, bar area and curated art displays. The property is estimated to be worth Rs 80 crore, making it one of their most valuable assets.
Earlier Mumbai real estate investmentsAnushka Sharma began investing in property early in her career. In 2012, she reportedly purchased three apartments in Versova valued at about Rs 10 crore. She is also believed to own another apartment in Worli, bought in 2014 for roughly Rs 9 crore, though the current ownership status remains unclear.
Together, these homes reflect a real estate portfolio shaped by location, privacy and long-term living rather than short-term display, mirroring the couple’s measured approach to both wealth and lifestyle.
