Today’s Recipe: Peas bloom in the cold season. Peas are so green and fresh that even without wanting to, we use them in our daily diet in some form or the other. You might have made pea sabzi, puri, paratha, kachori and other dishes, but if you have not tried pea sandwich yet, then today we will tell you its easy recipe. So let’s know how to make it.
Material
Boiled green peas – 1 cup
Bread slices – 4-6
Onion (finely chopped) – 1 small
Green chilli (finely chopped) – 1
Ginger (grated) – ½ tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Black pepper or red chili powder – as per taste
Butter – for applying
Coriander – finely chopped
Method
- Mash the boiled peas lightly (do not make a complete paste). Add onion, green chilli, ginger, salt, chilli powder, lemon juice and green coriander.
- Apply light butter on the bread slices. Spread the pea mixture on one slice and cover with the other slice.
- If you want, lightly fry the sandwich in a pan or sandwich maker. Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
- If you want, you can also make cheese pea sandwich, grilled pea sandwich or a special version for children.
