CM Fadnavis speaks on bumper victory in Maharashtra civic elections: Hindutva is our soul, development is our agenda.

Mumbai, 16 January. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was welcomed as a ‘victory hero’ at the BJP headquarters in Mumbai on Friday after his historic victory in the Maharashtra civic elections. Addressing the party workers, he thanked the historic victory of BJP and Mahayuti in 25 municipal corporations including BMC. He termed this victory as a record-breaking mandate and said that it is a clear message from the people that they want development and honesty.

‘The record breaking mandate shows that people want development and honesty’

CM Fadnavis said, ‘I wholeheartedly thank the people of Maharashtra. Of the 29 municipal corporations, 25 have been won by the BJP or the Mahayuti alliance. Mahayuti flag will also fly on BMC. We took the development agenda given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the public and people supported it on a large scale. This record breaking mandate shows that people want development and honesty. I also thank Balasaheb Thackeray for his blessings.

Fadnavis further said that his agenda will still be development. He said, ‘Our soul is Hindutva and we are proud of it. Hindutva and development cannot be separated. People who believe in Hindutva as a way of life have supported us. The government’s agenda will remain development in future also.

Appeal to party workers to behave with restraint

CM Fadnavis also appealed to the party workers to exercise restraint and behave responsibly. He said, ‘I request the party workers that there should not be any kind of frenzy after the victory. The public has elected us to serve them, not to behave irresponsibly.

Also expressed gratitude to the senior leadership of the party

In his address, Fadnavis also expressed his gratitude to the senior leadership of the party. He met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J.P. Specially thanked Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Nitin Nabin and Nitin Gadkari. He also thanked his alliance partners and said that he spoke to Eknath Shinde on phone and congratulated him on his victory, on which Shinde also congratulated him.

The party will celebrate a grand celebration after the mayor’s election.

The Chief Minister also thanked all the party workers who worked day and night without any expectations and contributed to this historic victory. He said that after the mayor’s election, a grand celebration will be organized by the party.
