The sports world is in a great shock after darts sensation Luke Littler clinched a dominant victory in the opening round of the 2026 Bahrain Darts Masters.
The 18-year-old, appearing for the first time since winning his second World Championship title, defeated veteran Paul Lim 6-1.
The third leg of the match left the entire arena in awe when “The Nuke” hit a 170 checkout, known as “Big Fish” – the highest possible score a player can clear in a single three-dart turn.
After hitting the bullseye, Littler performed his trademark move by miming the action of reeling and was eventually joined by veteran Paul in the celebrations.

Reflecting on the performance of his opponent, he said, “Paul’s been performing well for many, many years. He’s a class act.” He also clarified the potential longevity of his own career in comparison to Paul, stating, “Not a chance! I will say it now.”
Littler, who maintained an average score of 106.5, said he is ready to start the next season with more strength: “It’s always good to be back in Bahrain, you want to start the year off right, with a title.”
Following the victory, the dart legend now moves to the quarter-finals, setting the stage for a much-anticipated rematch with Gerwyn Price.
