In the film industry, discussions have once again become intense regarding actors Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush. Recent speculations are claiming that the two may tie the knot on February 14. However, these reports are currently unconfirmed and neither the two actors, nor their teams have given any official statement on this.

According to these discussions, if the wedding happens, it will be a very private ceremony, with only close family members and select friends attending. Both the actors are known to keep their personal lives away from the public domain, so these claims have caught the attention of the industry and fans.

Speculations about Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush’s relationship first surfaced a few months ago, when the two were seen together on several occasions. At that time, videos and pictures to their closeness had gone viral on social media. However, in August 2025, Mrunal, while reacting to these discussions, had clearly said that Dhanush is “just a good friend” to him.

In an interview with Only Kollywood, when Mrunal was asked about his growing closeness with Dhanush, he said, “Dhanush is just a good friend to me.” She also said that she was aware of the rumors floating around about her and Dhanush and initially found them “funny”.

Mrunal had also clarified at that time that Dhanush’s participation in the screening of his film ‘Son of Sardar 2’ was not for any personal reason. “Dhanush came to the ‘Son of Sardar 2’ event. There should be no misunderstanding about it. He was invited by Ajay Devgan,” he had said.

Actually, the discussions regarding both of them started with the video which came out during the screening of the film. In this video, Mrunal and Dhanush were seen holding hands and whispering to each other. Apart from this, Mrunal’s participation in the wrap-up party of Dhanush’s film ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ also became a topic of discussion, even though she was not a part of that film.

There were speculations about their relationship on social media too, when Mrinal started following Dhanush’s two sisters on Instagram and they also followed Mrinal. It is often noted in the industry that very few co-stars or friends follow Dhanush’s family on social media.

A report in News18 had claimed that Mrunal and Dhanush are dating and their relationship is still in the initial stages, so they do not want to make it public. However, Dhanush has not yet reacted to these reports. At present, the ongoing speculations regarding the alleged marriage on February 14 are limited to discussions only. In the absence of official confirmation, it is difficult to say whether these reports will become reality or prove to be mere rumours.
