It is reported that the District Basic Education Officer, Rahul Pawar, issued the order for school closures on January 16th and 17th on the morning of January 16th, instead of the evening of January 15th. Cold Wave Conditions
On the morning of January 15th, severe cold and fog were observed throughout the NCR. Dense fog was visible in many areas until around 10 AM, where visibility was reduced to only 20-30 meters. Conditions improved slightly after 11 AM. The same situation was observed on January 16th, with dense fog in many areas in the morning.
