B&M has discounted a dehumidifier that could help families struggling with damp in their homes. The deal could be just the solution for homeowners struggling with excess moisture, a problem that commonly affects British homes during colder weather.

In the winter months, many households crank up their central heating and dry their clothes indoors on heated airers or similar stands. At the same time, lower temperatures prompt families to shut their doors and windows. These factors can increase the moisture in the air, and, in some cases, cause condensation, mildew, and mould in the home.

While shoppers can choose from various options, as there are multiple retailers offering different kinds of dehumidifiers, B&M has reduced the price of a 'compact' version. Its Blaupunkt Compact Dehumidifier 1L is available in stores now, on sale for £25.

According to the retailer, which claims to have reduced the original price by £5, the dehumidifier features a 1-litre water tank and an auto shut-off function. B&M notes that the gadget can extract up to 300ml of excess moisture daily. The mains-powered dehumidifier also features seven LED mood lights that can change colour or remain constant.

The product description states: "The Blaupunkt 1L Compact Dehumidifier removes excess moisture from the air, combating damp, condensation, mildew and musty odours." For shoppers with more room in their budget, B&M also offers a £99 Blaupunkt Compressor Dehumidifier 10L. With its larger size comes several additional features.

According to B&M, the dehumidifier has a 2.2L water tank with an auto shut-off function, a 24-hour timer, digital touch controls with an LED display, a laundry mode to adjust drying clothes indoors, and adjustable speed. The retailer says the gadget extracts up to 10 litres of excess moisture per day.

Alternatively, there's also a £10 BonAura AirOne Lite Dehumidifier.
