When it comes to cleaning the balls inside your child's ball pool, there is no task more time-consuming. Ball pools are very deceiving and often take hundreds of balls to even look full.

With this comes the task of cleaning over 200 balls every time the job comes around, and if you're doing them one by one that can take hours.

There are many methods, including washing each and every ball by hand with antibacterial spray, or taking out a bucket load at a time to clean in hot water.

Some parents might even skip the task if they don't let their children eat snacks in the ball pool, deeming it too long of a task to be worth doing.

But one clever mum posted her method of cleaning kids ball pool balls, and it doesn't involve any scrubbing at all.

Heather Medaries, who shares toddler and baby tips on TikTok, shared a video showing her using one appliance, a washing machine, to wash the multi-coloured balls.

She added the balls into the drum before adding some detergent and baking soda and setting the appliance to run on a delicate cycle with cold water.

She said: "The easiest way to clean all of those ball pit balls... I use the delicate cycle with cold water, gentle detergent and baking soda.

"They're basically dry when I pull them out of the washing machine."

Other parents were mind blown by the method and hailed the woman as a "genius" and "clever" in the comments section below the video.

One person said, "Wait what! Did not know this" while a second added, "okay this is GENIUS".

A third said: "You have to get a mesh laundry bag to save you time pulling every single ball out, its a game changer!"
