New Delhi: Mr. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to HH the President of the UAE, and the Chancellor of the UAE University, was deeply moved by his visit to the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi and his conversation with its head, Swami Brahmaviharidas. Calling it a “21st Century Renaissance,” “A Global Beacon of Harmony”… “Archival of Art and Values”… he concluded “I do not believe I have seen anything like this anywhere that I have visited,” and likened the Temple’s artistic and spiritual impact to that of the Sistine Chapel.
For human civilization
Speaking in his capacity as the Chancellor of UAE University, Zakir praised the temple for becoming a ‘living classroom of human civilization’ that imparts knowledge and values to future generations.
“This temple is not just for prayers. It is a unique center that contributes to intellectual development that increases understanding between cultures,” he commented.
Appreciation for technological and engineering marvels
Nusseibeh particularly praised the modern technology and engineering skills used in the construction of the shrine. He also praised the innovative, environmentally friendly design.
