An astonishing yet heartwarming event played out in the Big Bash League 2025-26 (BBL 2025-26) match between the Perth Scorchers and the Melbourne Stars at the Perth Stadium, with stadium fans and watchers inspiring both a shocking and then jesting response upon Haris Rauf and Finn Allen's confrontation with one another on the field.
This event took place just after the racing into the third over in the Perth Scorchers' chase when Haris Rauf walking past Finn Allen somewhere down the middle of the pitch abruptly came up with a rough shoulder shove at New Zealand's batter. It seriously made the first impression as if the incident were serious, creating an instant stir among players and crowds.

Fun after the push
Few seconds of confusion occurred across the field with fans and players for the event seemed entirely out of left field. Some even went to the extent of thinking it might escalate into a heated moment. However, the suspense melted very soon. Finn Allen's turn, gaze back at Haris Rauf, and then both summarily broke into laughter revealed that it was all a practical joke and harmlessly intended.
The Perth crowd also started cheering as the two pooled their laughter together. Rauf was also seen clowning with on-field umpires, indicating that the players took the match lightly and kept the spirit. Purely after such an incident, Rauf and Allen shook hands to eliminate any sort of misunderstanding or controversy. Very simple, but made it all the more heartwarming.
Fans of social media began drooling over the video, labeling it one of the unmatched funniest instances of this BBL season. Quite a number showered praises on the sportsmanship of the two international celebrities, especially in a match of so high a level.
Perth Scorchers Seals a Comfortable Win
Melbourne Stars were asked to bat first but could not manage a hefty total on the scoreboard. They lost all their wickets in just 18.2 overs and scored a total of 130 runs. The notable performer of the team was Marcus Stoinis, who scored 55 runs in just 39 deliveries with the help of five fours and two sixes. But the wickets of the opposing team's players kept on falling on the other side as well as they lost their opening wickets in the form of Cooper Connolly and Jhye Richardson in the very starting of the match when they were on 26-3 in just four overs.
In the chase, Perth Scorchers won by 6 wickets, reaching 134/4 in 16.5 overs. Finn Allen was the highlight of the innings, scoring 69 off 39 deliveries, with seven sixes. Aaron Hardie supported him with an innings of 41 not out. Haris Rauf tried to turn the table with 3 wickets, but the target was not enough.
