With the aim of promoting skill development under the National Education Policy (NEP–2020), a one-day hands-on CPR training workshop was organized at the prestigious Institute of Higher Education Excellence (IEHE), Bhopal. Students, teachers and non-teaching staff participated in the program on 16 January 2026 and learned important life saving techniques in case of emergency.
The main objective of this workshop organized by the Professional Course Cell of the Institute was to introduce everyone to the life-saving method like Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). This training was conducted by Dr. Albie K., Head of the Medical Simulation Department and Chief Instructor. Paul did it with his team, which also included trainers Faisal Siddiqui and Sonal Minz.
Skills learned from practical training
During the workshop the experts demonstrated the correct technique of CPR using medical simulation manikins. The participants were taught how to assess the patient’s response in case of any emergency, how to give proper chest compressions and how to maintain the correct compression-ventilation ratio.
Through this hands-on session, all the participants practiced on their own, which boosted their confidence. The aim was to ensure that they could take the right steps in real-life emergency situations without panicking.
Institute’s commitment towards NEP-2020
This program was successfully completed under the direction of Dr. Prajnesh Aggarwal, Director of the Institute and under the guidance of Dr. Ruchira Choudhary, Nodal Officer of Vocational Course Cell. Faculty members Dr. Akhilesh Shende and Dr. Srishti Bhowmik were also present on this occasion.

The institute management said that this training is in line with the spirit of NEP–2020, which emphasizes on vocational education, skill development and social responsibility. The institute plans to organize more such programs in future also for the benefit of the academic community.
