This is the paw-fect love story.

An Alabama couple with the same dog met on Hinge — and while they were falling in love, so were their pups.

Photographer Anna Ward of Birmingham first connected with her now-husband David in the fall of 2024 after seeing a photo on his dating app profile of his King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Linus.

The pup wasn’t only the same breed as her pooch, Piper, but the same color as well.

“Then I also noticed that his owner was really cute,” Anna told The Post.

She reached out to him first with the message, “WAIT. I have a Ruby Cav too,” to which he suavely replied, “When can they meet?”

Just a few days later, David, a marketing director living in Huntsville, had to be in Birmingham for work, so he and Anna met at the park to take their dogs for a walk — which they didn’t know at the time would be the first of forever strolls.

It was puppy love at first sight for Linus, 4 and Piper, 9, who were immediately smitten with one another.

“Just immediate best buds,” Anna said.

“Yeah, they picked up like they’d known each other their whole lives,” David added.

Their humans were just as lovestruck.

“I saw her walking up with her dog and she was incredibly beautiful,” David gushed. “We had a lot of similarities, and so just really easy conversation and a lot of laughs.”

The couple lived an hour and a half from each other, so they dated long distance for nine months before getting engaged — which took its toll on the bonded hounds.

“When we would separate them, they would refuse to eat and would get really sad,” Anna said.

“So Linus actually came to live with me before David did.”

When it came time to propose, David decided to pop the question at Highland Park, where they first met — with their fur babies in tow, of course.

In the proposal video, they can be seen wagging their tails and approaching David as he gets down on one knee — seeming to understand what was happening.

“Yeah, I think they did,” David said. “They also love seeing us together, so they get excited.”

The lovebirds, who tied the knot in July 2025, made sure to represent Linus and Piper on their wedding cake — with a set of tiny porcelain spaniels as toppers.

The canines are settling nicely into married life.

“They love to snuggle up next to each other,” Anna said.

In November, Anna posted a video of the two pups cuddling, with the caption, “You accidentally find your dog a boyfriend by meeting a guy on Hinge who has the same dog and now every date is a double date” — which went viral with nearly 600,000 views.

Many viewers of the heartwarming clip were unaware that the couple was already married.

“A lot of people were like, ‘You have to stay together for the children,’” Anna recalled, laughing.

“And I was like, ‘Luckily we did.’”
