Manchester United put in a brilliant performance to beat Manchester City 2-0 at Old Trafford, to put themselves firmly back into the top-four race.
Michael Carrick - in the dugout for the first time since being named interim boss - watched his side deliver a commanding performance with Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu netting goals in the second half to secure a well-deserved win.
United dominated the match, creating superior opportunities in the first half. Gianluigi Donnarumma was kept busy with a series of impressive saves to keep City in contention, before United ultimately grabbed the goals they deserved.

Man Utd player ratings vs Man CitySenne Lammens 7: Misjudged a situation leading to an unnecessary first-half corner but redeemed himself with a save from Max Alleyne. Showed good handling skills in the second half.
Diogo Dalot 6: Earned a booking for a rash early challenge on Jeremy Doku and followed it up with a poor pass out of play, but managed to regain his composure afterwards.
Harry Maguire 8: Missed an early scoring opportunity but was outstanding defensively against Erling Haaland. A truly proactive performance.
Lisandro Martinez 7: Made a fantastic sliding block on Haaland early in the second half. Demonstrated good game reading skills and ball control.
Luke Shaw 7: Also booked early on but handled Antoine Semenyo well, who had Phil Foden backing him up in the first half. A smart performance.
Casemiro 9: Despite missing a scoring opportunity, he made an excellent recovery tackle on Haaland after Kobbie Mainoo's misplaced pass. His performance as a holding midfielder was outstanding.

Kobbie Mainoo 7: A delightful shimmy past Semenyo showcased his skills. He was slightly careless with a loose pass to Haaland in the second half but deserves more time on the pitch.
Amad 8: An absolute dynamo. He gave Nathan Ake a hard time and managed to get Nico O'Reilly booked within three minutes. He could have scored and was a constant threat. He hit the post towards the end of the match.
Bruno Fernandes 8: Unlucky with a very close offside call. He delivered a sublime pass to create a chance for Dorgu and another perfect one for the goal. This was Bruno at his finest.
Patrick Dorgu 8: A surprise inclusion but he made a significant impact. He was sharp on the ball, had a good first-half volley and was quick to score the second goal.
Bryan Mbeumo 8: His work rate was exceptional and he used clever movement to try and disrupt City's defenders. He tested Donnarumma with a good volley and was clinical with his next opportunity.
Matheus Cunha 7: He made a difference at both ends of the pitch. He made a crucial tackle on the edge of his own area and assisted Dorgu's goal.
Manuel Ugarte 6: He didn't have much time to make an impact after replacing the exhausted Casemiro.
Mason Mount 7: He thought he had scored late in the game but it was ruled out for offside.
Ayden Heaven 6: He was introduced late into the game.
Unused substitutes: Bayindir, Yoro, Malacia, J. Fletcher, Sesko.
