This film was linked to 2013’s ‘Raanjhanaa’, and now a controversy has arisen in this regard. Raanjhanaa’s production company Eros International Media has filed a lawsuit in the Bombay High Court against Aanand L Rai and his company Color Yellow Production.

Eros International alleges that ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ was deliberately presented as a spiritual sequel to ‘Raanjhanaa’. It is alleged that Aanand L Rai has used the reputation of ‘Raanjhanaa’ in his film, and that too without permission. Along with this, allegations of violating trademark and copyright have also been made.

Demand for compensation of Rs 84 crore

Eros says that ‘Raanjhanaa’ is his important asset. Its name has been used in the promo, trailer and publicity of ‘Tere Ishq Mein’, and permission was not taken. Eros has demanded compensation of Rs 84 crore from Aanand L Rai and his company for the use of the name ‘Raanjhanaa’.
