BPL 2025-26 Viral Moment: Sahibzada Farhan Taunts Ruyel Miah, Bowler Responds in Style
Cricket Gully | January 18, 2026 7:39 AM CST

Ruyel Miah had the last laugh against Sahibzada Farhan in Match 26 of the 2025-26 Bangladesh Premier League, where the Rajshahi Warriors faced off against the Sylhet Titans.

Sahibzada kicked off the fourth over with a big six off Ruyel's bowling. But things took a turn on the very next delivery. After playing a dot ball, the top-order batter cheekily flashed the ‘you can’t see me’ gesture. Ruyel, not one to back down, came back strong and dismissed him on the following ball.

The delivery was expertly angled across the batter, who could only manage to edge it to the short third man, where Salman Irshad made a straightforward catch. Ruyel celebrated his wicket by mimicking Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s iconic sitting-on-the-ground celebration. Sahibzada ended up with 14 runs off 12 balls.

Ripon Mondol was named Player of the Match for his impressive four-wicket haul (4/34 in 4 overs) and for taking a couple of catches during the second innings. With this victory, the Warriors climbed to the top of the points table, marking their seventh win in nine games. Shanto and his team are set to play their final league match against the Chattogram Royals on January 17.

Meanwhile, this was the Titans' 10th and final league game of the season, finishing with 10 points from five wins and five losses. Despite winning two fewer matches than the Warriors, the Titans had a slightly better net run rate.

In summary, the Rajshahi Warriors secured a spirited victory, highlighted by Ruyel Miah’s timely revenge on Sahibzada Farhan and a disciplined bowling performance. Ripon Mondol’s four-wicket haul was crucial as the Warriors defended 147 runs, took the top spot in the table, and continued their strong momentum heading into the final league match.
