Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has broken his silence on the recent controversy regarding Manikarnika Ghat in Kashi. CM Yogi said in strong words that a deep conspiracy was hatched to malign the image of Kashi and that is why he himself had to take the field. Directly targeting the Congress, he said that the opposition party is spreading false videos with the help of AI technology to mislead the public, which is a serious crime.

Who is behind the conspiracy? CM cornered Congress

Attacking Congress, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the party is spreading confusion among the public through fake AI video of temple demolition. He said that the Congress which never respected Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, is today serving lies in her name. The CM sarcastically said that the condition of Congress is like ‘a cat went for Haj after eating a hundred rats’. He made it clear that those who play with the pride of Kashi will not be spared.

What is the whole matter?

Actually, this whole controversy started when Holkar Trust claimed that the statue of Queen Ahilyabai located at Manikarnika Ghat in Kashi was defaced or broken. As soon as this news spread, politics heated up. However, the administration and government have rejected these claims outright. CM Yogi clarified that the heritage of Kashi is not being harmed in the name of development works, rather the opposition parties are adopting such tactics to make their political gains.
