In the final match of the Late Suryapal Verma Memorial State Level Cricket Tournament organized under the auspices of the District Cricket Association, Lucknow, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, scored a huge score of 232 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Batsman Gurman played a valuable explosive inning of 65 runs with the help of 5 fours and 6 sixes in 23 balls. Apart from this, Sarvesh contributed 39 runs, Anupam and Murari contributed 20-20 runs. For Basti, Ashutosh took 03 wickets, Rampal took 02 wickets, Gokul, Shahnawaz and Rudra took 01 wicket each. Chasing the target of 233 runs, the entire Basti team was all out for 131 runs in 17.3 overs. Basti captain Rudra batted courageously and scored a brilliant half-century but he failed to lead the team to victory. For Basti, Shahnawaz contributed 21 runs and Rampal contributed 11 runs. For Lucknow, Akash and Sarvesh took 03 wickets each and Dhananjay took 02 wickets. Sarvesh was awarded the Player of the Series award in the tournament and Gurman was awarded the Player of the Match award in the match.

Former MP Ritesh Pandey, Katehari MLA Dharamraj Nishad, co-department campaigner Ayodhya Shailendra, Shyam Sundar Verma alias Sadhu Verma were present as guests in the final closing ceremony. He paid his respects by garlanding the statue of late Suryapal Verma ji. At the same time, he got introduced to the players of both the teams and encouraged them. The guests distributed trophies and prizes to the winning and runner-up teams. The winning team was given a prize of Rs 75 thousand and the runner-up was given a prize of Rs 51 thousand. Also, Man of the Series was given a prize of Rs 11 thousand and Match of the Match was given a prize of Rs 5100.

Along with this, current Block Chief Akbarpur Anand Verma honored the guests and all the members of Ambedkarnagar District Cricket Association by giving them clothes and mementos. In the match, Nikhil Patel played the role of Empire, Bakar Raza Bablu, commentator Ajay Srivastava, Dr Syed Mohammad Zakir, Vikram Singh, Syed Suhani and Anurag Upadhyay played the role of scorer.
