Actually, in the promotion program of ‘Border 2’, the film stars entered in jeeps, while BSF soldiers were seen parading in front of them. Organizers described the event as a tribute to the armed forces. During this, the soldiers recreated a scene from Sunny Deol’s Border film. However, the entry of film actors like kings or senior officers and parading of soldiers in front of them is considered an insult to the army.
Congress Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi has strongly criticized it. “This is shocking, insulting and a complete joke of BSF. The soldiers are parading in sacred uniforms while Bollywood actors are coming like kings in jeeps for a film promotion. BSF uniform is not a prop and patriotism is not a show. Stop this joke and respect those who protect the country,” he wrote in the X Post.
Let us tell you that ‘Border 2’ starring stars like Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty is the sequel to the 1997 film Border. This film will be released in theaters on January 23. However, questions have started being raised regarding the way the film was promoted before its release.
