Haryana News: Haryana School Education Board will start the board examinations for class 10th and 12th of the year 2026 from 25th February. This time the board has made many important changes regarding the examinations, so that the students get more facilities and the examination process remains completely transparent. Board Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar has shared information about these changes.
Examination centers will be close to home
Board Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar said that this time special care has been taken while deciding the examination center so that the students do not face any inconvenience. It has been decided that the examination center will be at a maximum distance of one to two kilometers from the student’s school or village. With this, students will not face any problem in commuting and time will also be saved.
QR code will be placed on the answer sheet
To make the examination system more secure, this time QR code will be placed on the answer sheets. This QR code will be dynamic, so that any type of error or tampering can be easily detected. Along with this, alpha-numeric code will also continue in the question papers as before.
More than 56 thousand candidates increased in one year
This time there has been a huge increase in the number of candidates appearing in the Haryana Board examinations. In comparison to the year 2025, a total of 56 thousand 468 more students will appear for the examination in 2026.
Last year, 2 lakh 71 thousand 499 students appeared in class 10th and 1 lakh 93 thousand 828 students appeared in class 12th.
This time, 2 lakh 78 thousand 334 students will appear for class 10th and 2 lakh 43 thousand 461 students will appear for class 12th. Overall, this time 5 lakh 21 thousand 795 candidates will appear in the board exam.
Confidence of students of CBSE schools also increased
Dr. Pawan Kumar said that this time a large number of students of CBSE schools have also enrolled in the Haryana School Education Board. He said that this is a proof of the growing trust of the society towards the education board and a matter of pride for the employees and officers of the board.
All preparations completed
According to the Board Chairman, all preparations including identification of examination centres, seat planning, arrangement of question papers and answer sheets have been completed. The objective of the board is to conduct the examinations in a completely peaceful, fair and transparent manner.
