Desk: The news of a bomb in 12309 Tejas Rajdhani Express created panic at Deen Dayal Upadhyay station in UP. This train was going from Patna to New Delhi and as soon as it reached platform number four of PDDU Junction at around 10:15 pm, the Railway Board was informed about the bomb through a call. As soon as the information was received, there was panic among the railway security agencies and the train was immediately stopped on the platform and cordoned off from all sides.

As soon as information about the bomb was received, GRP, RPF, District Police, Bomb Detection Squad and Dog Squad reached the spot. In view of security, the train was evacuated first. Passengers traveling in 16 coaches of Tejas Rajdhani Express were taken to a safe place on the platform. After this, the entire train was searched intensively for three hours. The joint team of bomb squad and dog squad kept checking coach by coach. During this period, security was further increased in the station premises and surrounding areas. Police teams thoroughly searched all unclaimed luggage, bags and even under the seats.

After investigation that lasted for about three hours, relief news came. Security agencies found neither any explosive substance nor any suspicious object in the train. After this, the officials declared the bomb information fake, but remained vigilant till the investigation was completed. After a long investigation, Tejas Rajdhani Express was finally dispatched to New Delhi at around 1:15 am. Passengers heaved a sigh of relief.
