Ethiopian long distance runner Tadu Abate Deme performed brilliantly to win the title in the International Elite Men’s category of Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026. With this win he also won a huge prize money of Rs 45 lakh. Tadu Abate Deme completed this 42.12 kilometer elite marathon for men in 2 hours 14 minutes 4 seconds. Demme’s victory in a highly competitive race featuring high-level international runners once again reaffirms the Tata Mumbai Marathon’s status as one of the most prestigious road racing events in Asia.

Tadu Abate Demme displayed tremendous stamina and tactical nous on Mumbai’s challenging and technically difficult marathon track.
