Chiranjeevi 's comeback film Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is scripting its own success story in North America, it has officially crossed the USD 2.5 million benchmark in the circuit. Despite the film releasing on a weekday the film has shown strong legs at the ticket window, on Saturday the film earned USD 254,000, pushing its cumulative North American total to USD 2.624 million. Prior to Saturday, the first five days had amassed USD 2.37 million, signaling excellent audience pull and sustained turnout across the Telugu diaspora.

With this, the comedy action-drama has also overtaken the North American haul of Prabhas ’ The Raja Saab, which released on January 9 and has collected USD 2.42 million as of Saturday. That milestone positions Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu as one of the top North American performers for a Telugu star this year and, importantly, reinforces Chiranjeevi’s long-standing stronghold over the overseas theatrical market.

Domestically, the film is showing commendable resilience. In India, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu has collected Rs 139.85 crore, maintaining healthy weekday traction driven by positive word of mouth and festival season carryover. The casting has played a notable role as well, with Nayanthara starring opposite Chiranjeevi, marking another big collaboration for the actress in the Telugu belt. Additionally, the film features an extended cameo by Venkatesh , which has proved to be a major theatrical cheer moment in key Andhra-Telangana strongholds and overseas centers with nostalgic audiences.

The film marks another commercial win for director Anil Ravipudi , who has built a reputation for marrying Telugu mass cinema sensibilities with clean humor and festival-friendly storytelling. Ravipudi’s previous outing, Sankranthiki Vasthunam starring Venkatesh, was one of 2025’s biggest successes across Indian cinema, particularly in the Telugu belt. Prior to that, he directed Bhagwanth Kesari, a film that later served as the source material for Thalapathy Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan, further underscoring Ravipudi’s expanding creative footprint across industries.

Trade circles in North America expect Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu to eventually settle comfortably above the USD 3.5 to 4 million mark, provided weekday drops remain modest.
