Desk: Vinfast’s electric car company is rapidly expanding its business in India. The company has given clear indications that it can launch its three new electric cars in the Indian market by 2026. VinFast had entered India last year through the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs, which are assembled from a plant in Tamil Nadu. Now the company does not want to be limited to just premium cars, but is preparing to offer the entire range from affordable micro-EVs to family cars and MPVs.
VinFast Limo Green could be the first big step of the company’s plan. It will be a three-row electric MPV, which has been specifically designed for urban families and taxi or fleet use. It is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2026. Talking about the price, its estimated ex-showroom price can be between Rs 18 to 20 lakh. It can be provided with a 60.1kWh battery, which claims to give a range of about 450 kilometers with the front-mounted motor. This car may be liked by those customers who want space and long range.

After this VinFast will have its eyes on VF3 micro-EV. This small electric car is being made especially for congested cities. It is likely to be launched in the first half of 2026. The price can be between Rs 8 to 10 lakh. It will directly compete with MG Comet EV in the Indian market. VF3 is expected to get a 18.6kWh battery, due to which it can give a range of more than 200 kilometers. Despite being a small car, it can get a ground clearance of 191mm, which will be helpful on bad and bumpy roads.
The third important model of VinFast could be VF5, which will enter the sub-4 meter electric car segment. This car is already available for sale in Vietnam and Indonesia. In India, it can compete with cars like Tata Punch EV. VF5 comes with two battery options in the global market. In terms of size and wheelbase, it is said to be slightly larger than the Punch EV. Overall, VinFast is moving rapidly towards creating a strong electric portfolio keeping in mind the different budgets and needs in India.
