Love marriage, family displeasure and rented room
The accused husband Sachin is originally a resident of Fatehpur district. About four months ago he had a love marriage with Shweta Singh. Both their families were against this relationship, so after the court marriage, the couple started living in a rented room in Maharajpur area of Kanpur. Sachin used to drive the auto to meet the household expenses and the new life of both of them started from here.
In his statement to the police, Sachin told that on the night of the incident, he had told his wife that he would be at a party with friends and would not come home. But there was doubt in his mind, so he suddenly reached the room at around 11:30 in the night. Sachin alleges that as soon as he opened the door, he was blown away by the sight there.
