Expert shares why Meghan Markle will receive taxpayer security in the UK

Meghan Markle will likely receive UK taxpayer's security during her next visit for one major reason. Prince Harry requested a review of his right to security last year, with the review set to take place within weeks.

If his right to police protection is reinstated, Harry and his family will all be entitled to make use of it during any future visits to the UK. Meghan, 44, has not travelled to the UK since September 2022, with Harry previously stating that he doesn't feel safe for his family to visit without police protection.

Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, have not visited the UK since travelling to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.

A veteran Daily Mail journalist Sarah Vine recently shared that Meghan will likely receive police protection because she will be travelling with Archie and Lilibet.

She wrote in a recent article for the Daily Mail: "There is only one instance in which it would be acceptable for the taxpayer to foot the bill for Meghan's presence on this island, and that is if she accompanies Lilibet and Archie as they visit their British relatives.

"However toxic her behaviour, however troubling her exploitation of the royal brand - the 'official' @SussexRoyal Instagram account remains live and boasts nine million followers, even if they're not currently posting on it - she is nevertheless the mother of these two young royals. They deserve to see their family."

Despite a potential visit in July, for the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games, Meghan and their children will not be joining Harry on his visit to the UK next week.

Speaking to The Times, a source close to Meghan and Harry shared that it is highly unlikely that the 41-year-old will travel to the UK with his children without Meghan.

They said: "I think she would come back with him [and the children]. They love to do stuff as a family whenever they can, and when they do things as a couple philanthropically, they often do take the kids along privately.

"I can't see a reason why he'd come over with the kids without her."
