King Charles will reportedly not meet with Prince Harry this week for one major reason. Harry, 41, is set to be travelling back to the UK for the start of the trial of his High Court legal claim against Associated Newspapers.
During this visit, Harry is set to travel back to the UK alone - with Meghan Markle and their children staying at home in California. The King, 77, will not be meeting his youngest son as he is reportedly resuming his cancer treatment in London this week following his diagnosis in early 2024.
King Charles will reportedly be in Scotland at the start of Harry's visit, with the former working royal expected to arrive in the UK on Monday before returning to London for treatment on Tuesday.
As reported by the Mirror, royal sources have confirmed that neither Harry nor the King have requested a meeting and no arrangements have been made to see one another.
As well as the King, the Prince and Princess of Wales are also set to be in Scotland this week, traveling to Stirling and Falkirk on Tuesday. The royal couple will be present to shine a light on unique Scottish heritage traditions and exploring how they are continuing to connect communities and inspire new generations.
Harry is expected to attend most days of the case next week and is due to give evidence lasting a full day on January 22.
Other public fugures due to attend the nine-week trail includes Sir Elton John, Baroness Doreen Lawrence and actress Liz Hurley.
Although his wife and children are not returning to the UK next week, they could join him during a visit in July.
The family could all be in attendance for the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games if Harry's UK securty is reinstated.
A review for his right for police protection will take place within weeks.
