The Scot booked his place with an incredible comeback victory over Judd Trump, coming back from 3-0 and 5-3 down to oust the world No. 1 and set up a final with Kyren Wilson.
The 2004 world champion also had to win a decider, beating Wu Yize 6-5 after winning the final two frames in stunning fashion. Wilson and Higgins face off today with £350,000 on the line and a chance to bag some major silverware before this year's World Snooker Championship.
