Billy Bob Thornton claps back at rumours that he quits ‘Landman’
Billy Bob Thornton has a promising update for Landman fans, and its not about him exiting the show.
As Landman season 2 comes to an end, there has been reports around his character Tommy Norris that he will be leaving the show ahead of next season.
Although his character was written out of M-Tex Oil in the show’s second-to-last episode, Thornton slams the claim of him leaving the show as “AI-generated crap.”
“There’s an AI report that Demi (Moore) and I are a couple now, and there’s one that I’m leaving the show,” Thornton told USA Today. “They have nothing to do with reality.”
The Oscar-winning actor confirmed, “I’ll be there.”
With Sam Elliott joining Landman in season two as Tommy’s father, T.L., Billy Bob Thornton says he’s more committed than ever to the series’ future.
Praising his new co-star, Thornton called the experience “great” and made it clear he’s in for the long haul. He added that he’s happy to stay with the show for as many seasons as its story demands.
Thornton’s investment in the role paid off last year, earning him a Golden Globe nomination for his season one performance as Tommy, a petroleum landman at M-Tex Oil forced into leadership after a deadly accident at one of the company’s rigs.
The season two finale of Landman is now streaming on Paramount+.
