Emmerdale star Paula Lane has shared a sweet update just a few days after giving birth to her son.

Paula, who played Ella Forster on Emmerdale and Kylie Platt on Coronation Street, revealed last year that she was expecting her third child with husband Tom Shaw.

The soap star is already a proud mum to two children: Arthur, born in 2014, and Penny, born in 2016. And earlier this month in January, Paula delighted fans when she confirmed she had given birth to their baby son.

Alongside adorable photos of their new arrival, Paula penned in the Instagram caption: "Welcome to the ranch Patrick. We are all completely and utterly in love... So longed for...thank you for completing us".

And now, just days after welcoming baby Patrick, Paula - who left Emmerdale last year - has taken to her social media to reveal how she is doing amid the exciting new chapter in her life. The TV star uploaded several photos to Instagram of what life has looked like for her in the past 10 days.

These included sweet snaps of her and her newborn Patrick. Paula wrote in the caption: “The past 10 days of you. My lucky little charm. Lots of feeding, cuddles, Monopoly and gentle dog walks. Soaking up every second.”

As expected, Paula’s smitten fans quickly rushed to the comments section to react. One person said: “Congratulations and well done. Make the most of every moment xx.” Someone else wrote: “So beautiful to see you and your beautiful baby so happy for you and your family.”

A third chimed in: “Congratulations enjoy your little man.” Echoing their thoughts, another gushed: "Lovely pictures . Congratulations to you all. Sending my best wishes." A fifth also penned: "Aww lovely and you look amazing."

Paula is most recognised for portraying Kylie on Corrie, with the character brought in as the sibling of Becky McDonald (portrayed by Katherine Kelly). She subsequently formed a romance with David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), whom she eventually wed.

However, following her introduction six years earlier, Kylie met a sad end in scenes which broadcast in 2016. Audiences witnessed Paula's character perish in the arms of her sobbing spouse, David, while lying in the middle of the road after suffering fatal stab wounds.

Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 8:00pm on ITV1 and ITVX
