Motorists travelling from Dubai toward Abu Dhabi on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) experienced major delays early in the morning after a traffic accident was reported.
Eyewitnesses observed traffic build up at the site around 6am on one of the country’s busiest highways. Several drivers reported that the collision took place near the Dubai Industrial City roundabout.

The incident occurred during peak commuting hours, when the route typically carries heavy traffic heading into the Capital.
As a result, congestion quickly built up across multiple lanes, with motorists reporting slow-moving traffic and, in some areas, complete standstills. Emergency services and authorities were on the scene as efforts were underway to manage the situation and restore traffic flow.
In response to the disruption, navigation platforms such as Google Maps redirected drivers away from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road toward Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and Emirates Road (E611) to help ease congestion and minimise delays for commuters.
