The International Cricket Council (ICC) has rejected the concerns raised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) regarding the T20 World Cup 2026. BCB had demanded a change in the schedule or venue of the tournament citing the safety of the players in India. However, the ICC has clarified that the T20 World Cup 2026 will be held in India as per the predetermined plan and no changes will be made in it. ICC has given time till January 21 to Bangladesh Cricket Board to decide whether they will participate in this tournament to be held in India or not. The ICC described Bangladesh's concerns as a political agenda and said that it will not interfere on such issues. After this decision, Bangladesh will now have to clarify its final position before this deadline.
