New Delhi . Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national working president Nitin Nabin on Monday filed his nomination for the post of national president in the ongoing election process at the party’s central headquarters here.

Many senior party leaders including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari were present during the nomination process. Apart from this, Chief Ministers of various states and heads of state units also reached the headquarters and participated in the process.
According to party sources, Nitin Nabin is the only candidate for the post of National President. In such a situation, it is considered certain that he will be elected unopposed.
Earlier, leaders of various states including Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had submitted their letters in support of Nitin Nabin.
It is noteworthy that BJP was established on 06 April 1980 and till now the post of National President of the party has been held by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kushabhau Thackeray, Bangaru Laxman, M. Venkaiah Naidu, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah and JP Nadda.
