New Delhi: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, Junaid Safadr recently got married to Shanzeh Ali Rohale in a fancy wedding ceremony in Lahore, Pakistan. The bride chose all her wedding outfits from an Indian fashion designer for the special festivities.

The granddaughter-in-law of Nawaz Sharif made a striking appearance by choosing Indian designers for both her wedding events, blending traditions, elegance and Indian craftsmanship with design sensibility. Shanzay picked Tarun Tahiliani and Sabyasachi Mukherjee for her special day.

Shanzeh’s Sabyasachi lehenga for mehendi

She made a visually appealing appearance in Sabyasachi’s ‘Heritage Bridal Collection’, and paired with kundan jewellery with her green lehenga and soft pastel dupatta in contrast for her mehendi function. The lehenga was emerald green in colour with colour-blocked panels. floral motifs, and heavy antique gold borders for dramtic bridal look.

For the makeup, she kept it subtle, to make the lehenga do the talking with its maximalist design. Her hair tied in a low bun with nude lipstick and simple makeup made her look flawless and magnificent.

Tarun Tahiliani’s timeless saree moment

For her Nikah ceremony, the bride complemented the day’s theme perfectly with an iconic Tarun Tahiliani deep red saree, which was last year also worn by the actor Ananya Panday. The Kashida saree by Tarun features floral motifs and geometric patterns. The subtle patterns and details on the saree make it a royal affair.

Paired with a potli bag of the same fabric, this look of the bride showcased Indian couture in its true sense and how it can balance design, heritage and timelessness. The saree was paired with a blouse adorned with jamawar-inspired kashida work.

For the nikah jewellery, she chose a skipping look by only pairing the saree with a necklace with a single emerald in green at the centre, just like the trends of 2025.

By choosing Indian designers for the wedding, she not only showcased an honour to the rich craftsmanship, but chose traditional looks with modern detailings to make the bride of 2026 remined of what true couture is.
