The teaser of the eagerly awaited film **Do Deewane Shehr Mein** featuring the first on-screen pairing of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur was released on January 19, 2026. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Bhansali Productions), Zee Studios, Rancorp Media and Ravi Udayavar Films, this romantic drama is scheduled to release in theaters on February 20, 2026 – just in time for Valentine’s Week.
The teaser shows Shashank (Siddhant Chaturvedi), a simple, introverted young man and Roshni (Mrunal Thakur) having an awkward arranged marriage meeting surrounded by families. While Shashank appears honest but nervous, Roshni appears unaffected, pointing to different personalities and inner tensions. It quickly transforms into a glimpse of a tender, urban love story set amidst the bustling backdrop of Mumbai – depicting the yearning, hesitation, self-acceptance and emotional growth as two incomplete souls connect.
Billed as “a perfect love story between two imperfect people,” the film showcases a modern yet nostalgic romance that “feels like a memory you didn’t even know you had.” The teaser is made even more special with the evergreen classic **”Do Deewane Shehar Mein”** song from the 1977 film *Gharonda* – originally sung by Bhupinder Singh and Runa Laila, composed by Jaidev and written by Gulzar – which adds poetic depth to it and connects generations.
Directed by Ravi Udayavar (known for *Mom* and *War*), the film features a strong supporting cast including Ila Arun, Joy Sengupta, Ayesha Raza, Viraj Gehlani, Sandeepa Dhar and others.
Siddhant Chaturvedi, who has come after hits like *Gully Boy*, *Gahraiyaan*, *Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan* and *Dhadak 2*, brings his signature style to the role. Mrunal Thakur, who is riding high after the success of *Seetha Ramam*, *Jersey*, *Lust Stories 2* and *Son of Sardaar 2*, adds emotional nuances. The teaser has created excitement among the people with its heart-warming atmosphere, chemistry and nostalgic soundtrack. Fans are already calling it one of the most awaited romantic films of 2026.
