Ayush Badoni’s Personal Life

Ayush Badoni comes from a middle-class family. His father is a documentary filmmaker, and his mother is a teacher. In the beginning, his parents wanted him to focus more on studies and did not fully support cricket as a career. His childhood coach Balraj Kumar played a major role in changing this. He convinced his parents and even built a cement pitch on the rooftop of Badoni’s home in Shalimar Bagh so he could practice. When Balraj later moved to Punjab, Badoni’s father helped him train until he joined Tarak Sinha.

At times Badoni missed chances because of the crowded talent pool, and at other times because of plain bad luck. His name came up in IPL auctions for three years, but he went unsold each time. When Lucknow Super Giants finally picked him, he admitted his heart was racing and said he was simply grateful for the chance and focused on performing for the team.

Badoni was trained by the late and respected coach Tarak Sinha. He played for India Under-19 and scored an unbeaten 185 against Sri Lanka in a youth Test in 2018. He also made an impact in the Under-19 Asia Cup by scoring 52 off 28 balls in the final. These performances came after he was noticed by Rahul Dravid, which marked an important phase in his early career.
