Process of making the National President in the BJP
The BJP's National President is elected by an electoral college composed of representatives from the party's National Council and State Councils. This election process is overseen by the party's National Election Officer. According to the BJP Constitution, any 20 members of a state's electoral college can jointly propose a person for the post of National President who has been an active member for four terms and whose membership has been for at least 15 years.
