BBC's thrilling series, The Traitors, is set to conclude this week after a whirlwind of a series. Claudia Winkleman returned on New Year's Day with the fourth season of the popular BBC One game show, featuring 22 new contestants all vying for a life-altering cash prize. The game, divided into Faithfuls and Traitors, has been a web of deception and lies, with the 2026 winning title still up for grabs. The past few weeks have seen numerous explosive moments, from a game-changing Secret Traitor to shocking twists and turns as secret connections were revealed.
Viewers have been eagerly sharing their theories on major secrets they believe are yet to be disclosed. But when exactly is the series finale scheduled to air amidst a scheduling shake-up this week? Here's all you need to know.
The Traitors is set to wrap up on Friday, January 23. However, viewers should note a change in the show's timing that evening, reports Wales Online. Instead of its usual 8pm start time, The Traitors final will air on BBC One at a slightly later time of 8.30pm.
This change applies only to the final episode, with Wednesday's and Thursday's episodes airing at the regular 8pm slot. Another alteration to note is that the series finale will run longer than usual.
Instead of the standard 60-minute slot, fans will enjoy a 75-minute episode as we finally discover who will walk away with the life-changing cash prize.
The episode will be immediately followed by The Traitors Uncloaked, presented by Ed Gamble.
This follows last week's dramatic conclusion when the Traitors learnt that rather than eliminating a player, they would bestow upon someone the ability to cast a "double vote" at the upcoming roundtable. The power could be assigned to any participant, themselves included.
The revelation came during an emotionally charged roundtable when presenter Claudia intervened. In a touching sequence, the remaining eight contestants delivered deeply personal revelations about their lives whilst discussing their intentions for the prize money if victorious.
Thus far in the competition, two Traitors have been expelled from the castle, beginning with barrister Hugo's premature departure.
Welsh player Fiona subsequently followed, her exposure as the Secret Traitor providing a stunning revelation.
Fiona featured in the series' most dramatic confrontation when she clashed with fellow Traitor Rachel, going so far as to publicly accuse her of being a Traitor, prompting viewer speculation that she had violated the 'Traitor Oath'.
With the finale approaching, Traitors Stephen and Rachel persist in the competition, continuing to mislead the Faithfuls whilst narrowly escaping elimination at successive roundtables.
The Traitors airs this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on BBC One and iPlayer
