IAS Success Story: Haryana’s daughter created history, became IAS by cracking UPSC in the first attempt

IAS Success Story: The Civil Services Examination conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is counted among the toughest competitive examinations not only in the country but also in the world. While most of the candidates have to put in many years of hard work and many efforts to pass this examination, there are some selected candidates who set an example by achieving great success in the very first attempt. One such inspiring story is that of IAS Nisha Grewal, a resident of a small village in Bhiwani district of Haryana.

Nisha Grewal had passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her very first attempt and secured All India Rank 51. The special thing is that when he achieved this feat, he was only 23 years old. Such huge success at a young age made him an inspiration for millions of youth across the country.

Nisha’s journey started from an ordinary family. His father works in the electricity department, while his mother is a housewife. There was an atmosphere of education and discipline in the family, but the biggest inspiration for Nisha to move ahead came from her grandfather, who encouraged her at every step and encouraged her to study.

Talking about educational background, Nisha Grewal did BA Honors in Political Science from Delhi University after completing 12th. During her graduation, she decided to join civil services and then started preparing for UPSC with full concentration.

Sharing her preparation experience, Nisha says that to build a strong foundation for UPSC, she first read NCERT books thoroughly. Along with this, he paid special attention to reliable study material and current affairs available on the internet. He believes that right strategy, consistency and confidence are the keys to success in this difficult examination.

Presently IAS Nisha Grewal is posted as Chief Development Officer (CDO) in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh and is performing administrative responsibilities with complete honesty and dedication. He says that students preparing for UPSC should maintain patience and try to improve themselves every day.

Nisha Grewal, who became an IAS by securing top rank in the very first attempt, is today an inspiration for thousands of youth who, despite limited resources, have the courage to dream big and fulfill them. His story proves that with the right direction, hard work and strong intentions, any goal can be achieved.
