New Delhi:  Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat today interacted with prominent citizens of Saurashtra-Kutch at a major public gathering organized in Rajkot to mark the Sangh’s centenary year. Speaking at the gathering held at Seva Bharati Bhavan, the RSS chief said that no one can have a monopoly on national interest. It is our collective responsibility, and the Sangh stands with all those who are working towards this goal.

He said that the heights the Sangh has reached today, despite numerous neglects, opposition, and restrictions, are a result of the blessings of the Hindu society. The Sangh considers all those who are working in the national interest, whether they are associated with the Sangh or not, as its own volunteers.

He clarified that the Sangh does not operate anyone through ‘remote control’. The work of the Sangh is based on pure, virtuous love and affection. Volunteers are prepared through the Shakha (branch) system by imparting values, and they later make decisions in the interest of society based on their own conscience.
Explaining Hindutva, he said that Hindutva is a way of life. The Sangh works according to the same principles on which the Constitution of India is based. India is a ‘Hindu nation’, and that is why all faiths and sects are welcomed here.

The RSS chief said that India’s philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) is true globalization. Other countries’ idea is to make the world a market, while we consider the world as one family.

In the question-and-answer session, the RSS chief said that Gen-Z youth are like a ‘blank slate’ and are very honest. We need to develop the art of communicating with them. We should be the masters of social media, not let it become our master. It should be used in the national interest.
The idea of Hindu- Muslim animosity is being fanned again in the neighboring country. Social awareness is necessary to prevent this divisive idea from spreading in India. Corruption is more in the minds of people than in the system. Corruption will only be curbed when individuals are instilled with good values.

Eco-friendly initiative

All programs organized in Rajkot were ‘single-use plastic’ free. Special eco-friendly pens were used during the events, which, if planted in a pot after use, decompose in the soil and a plant grows from them.
The program was attended by West Zone Sanghchalak Dr. Jayantibhai Bhadesia, Saurashtra Province Sanghchalak Mukeshbhai Malkhan, along with industrialists, doctors, lawyers, and educationists.
