Ant McPartlin has admitted that he has had to "curb" a particular habit at home, as he keeps getting "told off" by his other half, Anne-Marie Corbett. In what Fearne Cotton revealed was Ant and Dec's first-ever podcast appearance this week (January 19), Ant shed light on a New Year's resolution he'd made at home involving his young son.

In the episode, since the TVtreasures were "podcast virgins", Fearne informed them that this format had "no rules" like television and even invited them to "do a swear", but Ant declined.

Dec explained that the reluctance to swear had "gone into" his TV partner's resolutions. Ant, who has a son named Wilder with wife Anne-Marie, noted that he was "getting told off a lot" for the habit.

Ant told the Happy Place podcast: "Well, my little one is 19 months now, so he's...all his words are starting to come slowly, but then...and I'm getting told off a lot for swearing a lot in the house, so I have to curb the swearing."

He added: "So, what I'm not going to do, Fearne, is start swearing on a podcast. Yeah, so I need to...yeah, I need to curb it."

Fearnethen revealed that the lack of constraints meant they even kept the "C-bomb" in, much to the surprise of the Geordie icons, disclosing that "loads of people" had used it on the podcast.

She then described it as a "juicy one" and urged the duo to feel free to swear if they felt the "need". Ant conceded that once he becomes "animated", all his resolutionscould "go out the window".

Back in November, the presenters offered fans another rare insight into their lives during an appearance on I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked. In a chat with hosts Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers, Ant and Dec were quizzed on their respective nightly routines.

In comments referring to Wilder, Ant said: "I should go to bed earlier, but probably about midnight. It's late with a baby. It's a bit too late to be honest with you but I'll get stuck in a box set – and once I start I can't stop."

Dec, meanwhile, who has two children, Isla and Jack, with his wife, Ali Alstall, revealed that he goes to bed much earlier.

He said: "It's about nine o'clock. We'll sit on the sofa, me and Ali; we put the kids, we'll have something to eat. We'll sit on the sofa, watch telly and then we'll go, 'We could be in bed watching this'."

He added that they then "just go up" and watch the news prior to turning in for the night.

Ant proceeded to aim a dig at his long-time co-host, joking that it was a "very Dec thing to do" to watch the news prior to sleeping.
