Bureau Chief Pramod Rauniyar
Kushinagar. Protests have intensified in the area after the department canceled the much-awaited Shastrinagar-Belwania bridge scheme connecting Bagaha with Uttar Pradesh. In this regard, Janata Dal (United) spokesperson Rakesh Singh has issued a notice saying that the decision is against the future of Bagaha.
Rakesh Singh said that this bridge was not just a construction project for Bagaha, but was the lifeline of economic, social and regional development. Its cancellation will have an adverse impact on business, employment, education, health and traffic. He informed that on January 22, at 11 am, a meeting of all parties and general public will be organized in front of the night shelter located in Shastri Nagar, Bagaha. In the meeting, a large struggle committee representing the entire Bagaha will be formed and the strategy for a phased movement demanding the construction of the bridge will be decided.
JDU spokesperson has appealed to all the youth, social organizations, public representatives and common citizens to be present in maximum numbers and strengthen this struggle to the development of Bagaha. He clearly said that the agitation will continue until the construction of Shastri Nagar-Belvania bridge is ensured as per the original proposal.
