Singapore’s Changi ranked 11th among the 2025 world’s most connected airports, down two places from 2024, and placed second in Southeast Asia behind Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport, according to a report by British aviation firm OAG.
Changi offers over 28,000 possible connections to 161 destinations on the busiest day, the OAG Megahubs report said.
Singapore Airlines accounts for 33% of flights at Changi Airport, it added.
The airport is consistently praised by travelers for its cleanliness, modernity, and efficient immigration procedures.
The U.K.’s London Heathrow was the world’s most connected airport, followed by Turkey’s Istanbul and the Netherlands’ Amsterdam Schiphol.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport is in joint fourth place with Germany’s Frankfurt Airport.
OAG Megahubs is based on flight data from the 100 largest international airports, measured by total scheduled seats for the year. Rankings use data from the busiest day in global aviation between September 2024 and August 2025, which was Friday, Aug. 1, 2025.
In its 10th anniversary year, Megahubs provides the definitive ranking of the world’s most connected airports by analyzing destinations served and scheduled connections at each.
