BJP ECI Audit Report 2024-25: The Bharatiya Janata Party has submitted its annual audit report to the Election Commission. According to reports, the party has received donations worth ₹6,125 crore in 2024-25. With this fund, the BJP’s total general fund has now reached ₹12,164 crore.

Big increase in BJP assets in 2024-25; Significant increase in donations, funds and bank deposits
According to the financial report submitted by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the Election Commission, it is clear that the party’s assets have increased significantly in the financial year 2024-25.
According to the report, the BJP has received a total of Rs 6,125 crore in donations during the year 2024-25. This amount is about 54 per cent higher than the donations of Rs 3,967 crore in the previous financial year.
The general fund of the party has also increased to Rs 12,164 crore during the same period. Last year this fund was Rs 9,169 crore.
Also, the report revealed that BJP currently has Fixed Deposits (FD) of Rs 9,390 crore. Interest on bank deposits alone earned the party Rs 634 crore in 2024-25. Apart from this, the party has filed an income tax return of Rs 65.92 crore, on which interest of Rs 4.40 crore has also been received.
This increase in BJP’s financial strength is once again becoming a topic of discussion regarding the financial condition of political parties in the country.

Election Campaign Expenditure ‘Doubled’
According to the report, the party’s election campaign expenditure has almost doubled due to efforts to oust the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha.
Total Election Expenditure: Expenditure on election campaigns increased to ₹3,335.36 crore from ₹1,754.06 crore last year.
Percentage of Expenditure: The party’s total election expenditure for the year 2024-25 was 88.36 percent of its total expenditure.
Huge expenditure on election campaign
The party spent crores of rupees on various items to boost the election campaign:
Electronic media: The highest expenditure for publicity was ₹1,125 crore.
Aircraft and Helicopters: The bulk of the expenditure was ₹583 crore (Rs 5.83 billion).
Advertisements and hoardings: ₹897 crore (Rs 8.97 billion) was spent on advertisements and ₹107 crore (Rs 1.07 billion) on cutouts, hoardings and banners.
Support to candidates: The party gave ₹312.9 crore (Rs 3.12 billion) as financial support to its candidates.
Rallies and meetings: ₹90.93 crore (Rs 9.09 billion) was spent on rallies and campaigns and ₹51.72 crore (Rs 5.17 billion) on organizational meetings.

Nitin Nabin got ‘fund’
A change in party leadership has also been accompanied by a transfer of financial powers. Nitin Nabin, who was recently elected as the National President of the BJP, now has the legal right to make this huge use of party funds. According to the report, there was a net increase of ₹2,882.32 crore (Rs 28.82 billion) in the BJP’s accounts during 2024-25.
