A golden opportunity for government jobs has come for the youth who have done postgraduation in medical and dental. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has released the notification for the recruitment of 110 posts of Senior Resident for the year 2026. Under this recruitment, vacancies will be filled in medical and dental departments.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of JIPMER. Selected candidates will get an opportunity to work in one of the prestigious medical institutions of the country with an attractive salary.
Educational Qualification and Criteria
To apply for these posts, candidates must have MD, MS, DNB, MDS, DM or M.Ch degree in the relevant subject from a recognized institute. Experience has also been made mandatory for some special departments.
Special Qualification:
- Medical and Surgical Department: MD/MS/DNB degree in relevant subject.
- Clinical Genetics (Pediatrics): Postgraduate degree in Paediatrics, Gynecology or Medicine with minimum 3 months experience in Genetics.
- Dental Department: MDS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) degree.
- Super Specialty Department: DM or M.Ch degree in relevant field.
Candidates must keep all their necessary documents ready like degree certificate, internship completion certificate and experience certificate.
Age Limit and Salary
Candidates age should be between 20 to 32 years for JIPMER Senior Resident Recruitment. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC and Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
Selected candidates will be given salary as per Level-11 of 7th Pay Commission. This will include the basic salary of Rs 67,700 along with Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) and other allowances. The total monthly salary in the first year will be around Rs 1,30,000.
Selection Process and Exam Date
Candidates will be selected in two phases. The first stage will be a written examination followed by a personal interview. The written examination and interview will be conducted from 9 to 11 February 2026 at JIPMER, Puducherry campus only. The final selection list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written examination and interview.

After filling the form with details of your personal information, educational qualification and experience, you will have to scan and upload all the required documents.

- General, OBC and EWS candidates: Rs 500
- SC and ST candidates: Rs 250
- Disabled (PwBD) Candidates: No Fee
