During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met the delegation led by Mr. Carlo Gargiulo, Global Head of Small Molecules and Anti-Infectious Operations, Sandoz. Giving information about Madhya Pradesh's favorable policies, strong industrial infrastructure and policy support for investment and expansion in the pharma sector, the Chief Minister invited Sandoz to invest in the state.

Discussion focused on generic and anti-infective drugs

In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on Sandoz's global expertise in the field of medicines manufacturing, especially generics and anti-infective medicines, and the strategy to strengthen Madhya Pradesh's pharma manufacturing. Along with this, possibilities of setting up API, formulation and bulk drug units were also considered.

Brainstorming on industrial infrastructure and policy support

Important topics such as the state's industrial infrastructure, investment-friendly policies, operational excellence, global quality standards, regulatory compliance and skilled workforce development were discussed during the meeting. Considering the industrial capacity and policy support of the state, it was agreed upon on the wide possibilities of investment in the pharma sector in Madhya Pradesh.

Possibilities of setting up pharma manufacturing, API and formulation units in Madhya Pradesh in future were also considered. These proposed projects were expected to increase investment in the state, give impetus to the pharma industry and create new employment opportunities.
