According to this, gold became costlier by Rs 22 thousand in 21 days. At the same time, silver increased by Rs 10 thousand to Rs 3.20 lakh. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of gold increased by Rs 7,795 on Wednesday and opened at Rs 1,55,204 per 10 grams, whereas on Tuesday it was at Rs 1,47,409. From January 1 till now, gold has become costlier by Rs 21,744 this year.

The rise in prices of 22 and 24 carat gold for the last two days continued on Wednesday also. According to reports from Bankbazaar.com, the price of 1 gram of 22 carat gold reached Rs 14,240 in the bullion markets on Wednesday, while on Tuesday (January 20, 2026) the price of gold was Rs 13,550. In this way, the price of gold has increased by Rs 690 on the second day.

According to Bullion.in, there has been a record rise in the price of gold in the country’s capital Delhi. On Wednesday (January 21, 2026), the price of 10 grams of gold in Delhi has now become Rs 1,57,130. There has been an increase of Rs 6,430, in this respect the price of gold has increased by about 4.28%. Gold prices have also increased in Mumbai. Here the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has reached Rs 1,57,400.

Gold prices continue to rise

There was also a rise in the prices of 24 carat on Wednesday. The price of 1 gram is at Rs 14,952. On Tuesday its price was Rs 14,228. In this way the price has increased by Rs 724. The price of 8 grams is Rs 1,19,616, whereas on Tuesday its price was Rs 1,13,824. In this way the increase was Rs 5,792. The price of 10 grams is Rs 1,49,520, whereas on Tuesday its price was Rs 1,42,280. In this way its prices have increased by Rs 7,240.

The rise in gold may continue further

At the same time, experts believe that the ongoing rise in gold prices may continue in future also. If we talk about other prices of 22 carat gold, the price of 8 grams of gold is Rs 1,13,920 in the bullion markets on Wednesday. Apart from this, the price of 10 grams of 22 carat is Rs 1,42,400. Its price on Wednesday is Rs 1,35,500. In this way the prices have increased by Rs 6,900.
