Jio Hotstar has delivered a major blow to OTT lovers, increasing the prices of its Super and Premium subscription plans, putting a heavier burden on customers' wallets. The company announced that the new prices will be effective from January 28, 2026. Jio Hotstar stated that existing subscribers will continue at the current prices until their current plan expires. Once the old plan expires, users will have to pay the increased price.
Jio Hotstar Super Plan Price
The old price for the quarterly Super plan was ₹299, but from January 28, 2026, this plan will cost ₹349, an increase of ₹50. Similarly, the annual subscription for the Super tier will now cost users ₹1099 instead of ₹899, an increase of ₹200. With a Super subscription plan, you can access Jio Hotstar on two devices with advertisements.
The old price for the quarterly Premium plan was ₹499, but after January 28, you will have to pay ₹699 for the same plan. This means the plan will be ₹200 more expensive. The annual Premium plan will increase from ₹1499 to ₹2199. This means you will have to spend ₹700 more for this annual plan compared to before.
Users who purchase a Premium subscription get access to Jio Hotstar on 4 devices, and an ad-free experience for all content except live sports and live shows.
Note: Under the new structure, Hollywood content will be included by default in the Super and Premium tiers for new users. Mobile-tier subscribers will be able to access Hollywood titles through an optional add-on, allowing them to customize their subscription according to their viewing preferences.
