WhatsApp will soon be adding 5 new and powerful features that will completely change your chatting experience. These WhatsApp features were recently spotted in the beta version.

WhatsApp will soon offer 5 new and powerful features that will completely change your chatting style. Meta's instant messaging platform is currently testing these features with select beta users. You will be able to use these features after the testing is complete. These features are being tested for both Android and iPhone users. WhatsApp has approximately 800 million users in India. Therefore, millions of people will benefit from these features.

The 5 new features being tested in WhatsApp will give users better privacy controls. Users will also be able to opt in for beta testing with just one button. In addition, new options such as cover image control, link previews, and status privacy information will be available to users, making chatting on WhatsApp even more personalized.

Cover Photo Privacy

This feature is being tested on WhatsApp as a privacy control. This feature was spotted on iOS version 26.1.10.73 for iPhone users. It will give users the option to control the privacy of their WhatsApp chat cover photos. Users will be able to set the privacy of their cover photos according to their preferences. They will have the option to choose who can see their cover photo and who cannot.

Sticker Suggestions

This feature is also being tested for iPhone users. It may be tested for Android users later. This new feature was spotted in iOS version 26.1.10.72. It will provide users with accurate sticker suggestions while chatting, meaning they won't need to search for stickers. WhatsApp will soon offer automatic sticker suggestions within the app.

Status Privacy Info

According to WABetaInfo, this feature is being tested in Android beta version 2.26.2.9. It shows users their status privacy information, giving them the option to review and adjust their status privacy settings. Users will be able to customize the privacy of their WhatsApp status according to their preferences.

Clear Link Preview

WhatsApp recently rolled out this feature with the iOS 26.1.74 update. Instead of displaying long links in messages, it shows users only the essential information. Users will see an image of the webpage, the second-level domain name, etc., instead of the full link. This feature was also introduced for security reasons, to help users identify fake links.

Beta Tester Button

WhatsApp will soon introduce a new button in the settings that will allow users to switch between beta updates and regular updates. Users who want to become beta testers can simply turn this button on. After that, users will receive recommendations to test new WhatsApp features.
