Just a dozen days of the winter transfer window remain this January. There is still plenty of business for Premier League clubs to complete before the 7pm deadline on 2 February.
Manchester City are the big spenders this month after sending over £80million to Bournemouth and Crystal Palace for Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi. Tottenham Hotspur have also been busy, selling Brennan Johnson to Palace before bringing Conor Gallagher back to England from Atletico Madrid, with both deals effectively offsetting each other fee-wise at £35million.
In contrast, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have yet to make significant moves in the market. The Gunners, though, are credited with interest in 16-year-old Corinthians defender Iago Machado, who has a £87million release clause.
Liverpool are also said to be keen on Micky van de Ven, with the Spurs centre-back yet to sign a new contract since joining from Wolfsburg two-and-a-half years ago. Man United, meanwhile, are due to announce two loan moves on Thursday, with Harry Amass and Toby Collyer returning to the Championship at Norwich City and Hull City, respectively.
