A senior police officer said, "These smart glasses can scan faces in crowded areas and match them with records stored in the central database within seconds. Upon a match, the system alerts the wearer, allowing for immediate verification and action without disrupting public movement."
What technology do the smart glasses use?
This technology will prove very helpful in identifying criminals or suspects on the spot and will reduce reliance on traditional methods of investigation. This initiative is part of a comprehensive technology-based safety plan that may include extensive CCTV surveillance, drone surveillance, and the integration of facial recognition software. AI-powered analytics are also included to manage crowds and detect suspicious behavior during the event.
How will these smart glasses help the police?
These smart glasses will be connected to the officers' smartphones, and the officers' full database will be collected on their mobile devices. If someone comes within the range of these smart glasses and has a suspicious or criminal record, the police officer will be immediately notified through the smart glasses. As soon as the smart glasses provide information about a suspect, police officers will be able to immediately match and verify all the information in their database, and if necessary, the person or suspected criminal can be arrested immediately.
